Transpower delivered a proposed new Transmission Pricing Methodology (TPM) for the Electricity Authority June 2021. This was in accordance with the Transmission Pricing Methodology Guidelines, published by the Authority in June 2020, and the Electricity Industry Participation Code 2010. On 12 April 2022, the Electricity Authority (Authority) announced its decision to adopt the new TPM. Transpower is now working to implement the new TPM into prices that will take effect from 1 April 2023. The Authority's decision paper and the new TPM are available on the Authority's website.
Our development timeline
A TPM development timeline was designed to ensure we met the required delivery date of 30 June 2021.

TPM development process requirements
An important part of our TPM development work was complying with the Electricity Authority’s process decision, which was set out in Box 1 of its June 2020 Decision Paper.
